This is a series of pieces from my Summer Residency at ClayStudioSB. Here I focused on learning about Shino-style glazes and their relationship to the chemical composition of clay and the atmosphere inside and outside of the kiln. I explored shino glazes in attempts to understand the endless variation of surface design they can produce.
